Titulaire d\u2019un doctorat en \u00e9cologie du sol de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Gaston Berger (UGB) de Saint-Louis, Dr Paul Ndiaga Ciss poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement une licence en sciences de la vie (biologie animale et v\u00e9g\u00e9tale) et un master en agroforesterie, \u00e9cologie et adaptation de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD) de Dakar. Dans le cadre de ses \u00e9tudes de master et de doctorat, il a effectu\u00e9 des stages au Laboratoire mixte international \u00ab Intensification \u00e9cologique des sols cultiv\u00e9s en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest \u00bb (LMI IESOL), \u00e0 l\u2019Institut de recherche pour le d\u00e9veloppement (IRD) et \u00e0 l\u2019Institut s\u00e9n\u00e9galais de recherches agricoles (ISRA).<\/p>\n
Apr\u00e8s son master, il a travaill\u00e9 pendant un an \u00e0 l\u2019ISRA, o\u00f9 il a conduit une \u00e9tude sur la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 du secteur agricole aux changements climatiques et l\u2019identification d\u2019options d\u2019adaptation dans la zone des Niayes. Il a rejoint IPAR Think Tank en 2022 et intervient sur des projets li\u00e9s \u00e0 la gestion durable des ressources naturelles et au changement climatique.<\/p>\n
Dr Ciss est \u00e9galement le point focal d\u2019IPAR Think Tank dans la r\u00e9gion de Fatick, o\u00f9 il supervise les activit\u00e9s de restauration des terres salinis\u00e9es. During his Master\u2019s and doctoral studies, he completed internships at the International Joint Laboratory on the Ecological Intensification of Cultivated Soils in West Africa (LMI IESOL), the French Research Institute for Development (IRD), and the Senegalese Institute for Agricultural Research (ISRA).\n\nAfter completing his Master\u2019s degree, he worked for one year at ISRA, where he conducted research on the agricultural sector\u2019s vulnerability to climate change and identified adaptation options in the Niayes area. He joined IPAR Think Tank in 2022 and works on projects related to sustainable natural resource management and climate change.\n\nDr Ciss is also IPAR Think Tank\u2019s focal point in the Fatick region, where he supervises the restoration of saline land.
